National Album Day

Some exciting news from us today - next week we take delivery of two new record bins, one for singles so we can get more of our stock out, plus another LP bin which will enable us to sort our LPs into more genres particularly one for Funk and Soul

In other news tomorrow is National Album Day and this year's theme is celebrating debut albums. BBC Radio 2 has compiled a Top 20 chart of those albums and a surprise No 1 is Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell; as luck would have it, we do have a couple of copies if your collection is missing that iconic album. If you want to know more about events happening for the day, visit www.nationalalbumday.co.uk

It's mostly about new albums being released for the day which doesn't affect us at all however we do have a number of recent releases/reissues on 180g vinyl including Sam Smith, Lucy Spraggan, St Vincent, Jessie Ware, Lemon Twigs, The Smiths, Queen and Pink Floyd, all in pretty tip-top condition

And finally for now, a timely reminder that we sell gift vouchers for any amount so with Christmas around the corner, they're an ideal present for the difficult-to-buy-for people in your life, well, assuming they have a record player of course

Open today until 4pm and tomorrow from 10 till 4
