About Rolly

I’m Peter Rollison…

…and as a Chartered Accountant I’ve been in public practice in one form or another for 36 years (this is my accountancy website should you be in the need for such things).

Until late 2020 I had been working from home for some five years so I was able to easily take the Covid-imposed WFH rules in my stride.

However the pandemic and lockdowns had made me restless and re-inflamed an itch I had to scratch; the dream of owning my own record shop.

I have been an avid music fan ever since I can remember and, having my own record collection, always visited record shops when on holiday, loving the atmosphere and flicking through the vinyl, this being during the years when record shops had all but disappeared in the 90s and Noughties.

So my interest was piqued when I noticed that a local estate agent had vacated their premises in Felpham, the bonus for me being that it was double-fronted which would allow me to have the record shop one side and my accountancy business the other.  It was too good to be true and too good an opportunity to pass up so I managed to contact the landlord and after some persuasion, secured the tenancy.

I’m now able to combine the day job with my passion (no, I’m afraid accountancy was never a passion!) and hopefully some of that passion will rub off onto our customers and visitors as they browse through our record display bins.
