Don’t bring me down
It's been a while since we posted a photo so here's one that will interest all Reggae fans, an album by The Upsetters from 1970. It's a bit marked but plays well and the cover is in great condition
It came in a another great collection which seems to include every Deep Purple, Think Lizzy and ELP album going so perhaps a little unexpected but no doubt we all have records which go against the grain
We haven't yet priced up that collection but likely ticket for The Upsetters will be north of £45, a little above the 19'11 when originally sold but worth every penny imo
Otherwise, as happened last year, September has been incredibly quiet so we've been keeping busy playing some great music and putting new stock out. Currently replenishing the singles bins including quite a few from lesser-known (to me at least) artists such as Lorwell, The Symbols, TD Valentine, Eddie Henderson, Tommy Hunt, The Friendly People and Family Plann as well as a few coloured items from Pop Will Eat Itself
PS This blog’s title is a play on the main band mentioned here - get it?
